The OKC Thunder travel to Cleveland to face the Cavaliers in their only game on this fantasy weekend

Welcome back to your weekly dose of fantasy knowledge. The OKC Thunder enter this weekend with a chance to make a statement. If they can topple the Cavs on the road, they take another step towards being a true contender.

Cleveland hasn’t been at their best, but they still boast one of the most star-studded lineups in the NBA. It should make for an exciting game and a chance for some big fantasy performances. Without further adieu, here are the selections for whose going to play well in the Thunder’s only game this weekend.

Carmelo Anthony

More from Thunderous Intentions

It is now a known fact that Carmelo is “having fun” again after accepting his new role with the OKC Thunder. Coming off one of his better games of the season, Melo looks to follow up with another strong game. Look for him to score well against the Cavs’ porous defense and continue his enjoyment in his new role.

LeBron James

In what has been an up and down season, LeBron has managed one his better statistical years yet. He comes into Saturday’s contest averaging 27.3 points, 8.8 assists and 8.0 rebounds per game. Even at his age, he is still the undisputed best player in the world.

Unfortunately, James has had a history of playing well against the OKC Thunder. In two games against Oklahoma City last year, he averaged 21.7 points, 9.5 rebounds and 7.5 assists. Just like Russell Westbrook, the King is always a threat to drop a triple double.

Kevin Love

Love has never been the best defender, but he does seem to have a knack for getting double-doubles. He averages 19.2 points and 9.6 rebounds per game so he could be in store for another big game against the OKC Thunder.

Despite the monster that is Steven Adams (below), Love could still be effective with his ability to stretch the floor. His shooting could be key in the matchup against OKC.

Steven Adams

Last but not least is the Big Kiwi. Coming off one of the more dominant performances in his young career, Steven Adams appears to be primed for another big game. On the season he is averaging 13.6 points and 8.8 rebounds. He also dominates the offensive glass, averaging a league high 5.1 per game.

Look for Adams to dominate the Cavs with his size and physicality in the paint. The only real defensive big that Cleveland has is Tristan Thompson, whose been having a rough year. Not the best recipe for success against one of the upcoming centers in the NBA.
