Top 10 buyout candidates for OKC Thunder to consider
By Alex Mcewen
Corey Brewer
Premise:
Not long ago Corey Brewer was running with the Wolves, the Minnesota Timberwolves that is. Brewer is in the 10th year of his NBA professional career. At 31 years old the sad fact is Brewer looks and plays much older. Brewer has played for five teams in his 10 seasons.
At this point in his career Brewer offers little value as an add on. Brewer is averaging 3.6 points per game, is shooting 18.6 percent from three-point range, and has shot 44.9 percent overall with the Los Angeles Lakers this season.
Bottom line:
Other than Brewer’s 41 games of playoff experience, Brewer does not offer OKC much. Once considered one of the fastest players in the league his ‘greyhound’ moniker is no longer valid. Considering OKC is a veteran heavy team to begin with, how valuable is that? I would pass.
