Final thoughts:
More from Thunderous Intentions
- Stealing one player from every Southwest Division team for the OKC Thunder
- Should the OKC Thunder chase after a disgruntled hometown hero?
- 3 OKC Thunder players who can step up in Aleksej Pokusevski’s absence
- Aleksej Pokusevski sidelined approximately 6 weeks with ankle injury
- Damian Lillard does not fit with the OKC Thunder
The Thunder lost. They deserved to lose. The team shot 33 percent from the field, 26.5 percent from three, and 61.9 percent from the FT line. Those are embarrassing numbers. They were simply outmatched tonight. Russell Westbrook and Paul George combining for 5-29 shooting certainly didn’t help with that.
To add to that, the Warriors wanted to win after losing to the Thunder twice and it showed. They came at the Thunder from start to finish and pulled away late in the third quarter to put it away. They were simply the better team tonight.
With that being said, I can’t wait for them to meet again on April 3. I expect it to be an exciting and intense affair, just like the first three games.
