OKC Thunder: Analyzing stretch run schedules with view to seeding
Utah Jazz:
Following nine consecutive wins the Jazz lost to the Hawks prior to defeating the Mavericks. This weekend they split their two games losing (game of the year contender) to the Spurs and beat the Warriors. The Jazz continue to cling to the eighth seed and a date with Houston.
Remaining schedule includes:
- Boston Celtics, Wednesday 28
- Memphis Grizzlies, Friday 30
- At Minnesota Timberwolves, Sunday April 1
- Los Angeles Lakers, Tuesday 3
- Los Angeles Clippers, Thursday 5
- At Los Angeles Lakers, Sunday 8
- Golden State Warriors, Tuesday 10
- At Portland Trail Blazers, Wednesday 11
After registering a blazing 21-2 record running from January 24th through March 17th to get back on the playoff ladder the Jazz can be excused for losing two of their last four. Still, in their last eight games the Jazz will want to get back on a winning track to ensure their berth.
They hold a one and a half game cushion on the Nuggets, so nothing is set in stone. Of the playoff teams remaining on their schedule, the game against the Clippers may determine where both teams finish . These last eight games feature three on the road, five potential playoff squads, and Utah close the season on a back to back set.
OKC hold a one and a half game cushion over the Jazz.
