How much falls on Anthony?
Carmelo Anthony deserves some blame for how this season has panned out. But, how much criticism is fair, before it becomes overkill? Is the criticism of Melo being directed in the right place?

Does Carmelo Anthony check himself into the ballgame, no, (Or does he? More on this in the final slide). Does Carmelo Anthony draw up poor offensive schemes, no. Carmelo is only going to do what he is allowed to do.
If Billy Donovan is not going to hold Melo accountable for his poor shot selection or not covering his man on defense why would Melo change the way he plays.
From the outside looking in it appears there is no consequence for Carmelo and his poor play. And, if there is, it certainly is not diminished playing time.
Carmelo had arguably his worst game of the year against the Portland Trail Blazers last Sunday night. Yet, he still played his usual minutes in the fourth quarter. This, despite Jerami Grant playing one of his best games of the season.
After the game Donovan said he went with Melo because he has made a lot of shots in his career and the team trusts him. One of the biggest aspects of coaching is making adjustments and Billy Donovan is failing with his adjustments as of late.
