October 22nd versus Minnesota Timberwolves

This was the OKC Thunder’s third game of the season they were coming off a loss in Utah and were ready to clash with the new look Timberwolves. The game through three quarters was one-sided as the T-Wolves possessed an 88-75 lead.

In the final frame the Thunder erupted for 38 points. In clutch time the Thunder’s offense operated with precision. OKC turned a five point deficit into a one point lead with five seconds to go. Punctuating the comeback was a clutch time Melo seemingly game winning three.

Andrew Wiggins potentially changed the course of the season by hitting the actual game winner, a 30′ foot three. If Wiggins does not hit the miraculous shot OKC is 1-1 in their division rather than 0-2. All was not lost Thunder Nation as OKC had chances at redemption only five days later.

Furthermore the NBA continued pouring salt in the Thunder’s battle wound the next day. As the Last Two Minute report revealed Wiggins game winner should not have counted due to a Karl-Anthony Towns illegal screen.
