Dominate the Offensive Boards

The more chances you have to score, the more likely you are to score. The Thunder led the league in offensive rebounds per game with 12.4 per game. They also led the league with 14.9 second chance points per game. Steven Adams averaged a third of that with five offensive rebounds per game himself.

The Jazz aren’t the best rebound team, averaging just 62 percent of their adjusted defensive rebounds available, ranking 20th in the league. Still, Utah allows only 10.9 second chance points per game, the second lowest in the league.

The Thunder should be able to their their hands on a lot off offensive rebounds. Their is nothing more frustrating from a defensive standpoint than playing solid defense for 24 seconds and failing to grab the rebound. The more offensive boards the Thunder get, the more likely they are to find easy shots and frustrate the Jazz.
