A Crowd no one will soon forget

Thunder Nation I am not going to tell you about the full experience because my colleague Heather Koontz already did a splendid fan perspective piece. However, Wednesday’s crowd deserves a standing ovation themselves.

At the 8:34 mark of the third, the moment OKC found themselves down 25-points, 71-46. Then OKC called a timeout and the comeback was on. Until the final buzzer sounded not a single fan was sitting in their seat.

The crowd played a massive role in the victory, with their cheers and boos. For the first time in team history fans could be heard booing the home team. Once the comeback began it was all cheers. With every shot that went in, it was as if the arena was going to burst.

The better part of 18.203 fans more than did their part in the largest OKC Thunder comeback in playoff history. Give yourself a round of applause because you deserve it.

It by far the loudest this scribe has ever heard inside the ‘Peake.
