Kyle Singler

Most of Thunder Nation is counting down the days until Kyle Singler’s contract comes off the books. Nevertheless, Singler was still on the team whether he played or not. Therefore, Singler got an exit interview along with the rest of his teammates.

On what this season was like

"A little dry, a little dry year for me. Didn’t get any sweat in really, wasn’t out there on the court. I thought the group was great. I loved being a part of this team. The chemistry was — from where it was in the beginning of the year to the end, definitely you could see growth."

Singler provided a nugget with this quote. The Thunder brass has stated the chemistry was good from the beginning. On the contrary, Singler’s quote implies that wasn’t the case. Maybe this is bitterness, although Singler has nothing to gain from causing ripples within the organization.

In reality, Singler played a mere 12 games during the 2017-18 campaign his fewest since joining the Thunder. His only meaningful game came on December, 7th against the Brooklyn Nets in Mexico City. Jerami Grant and Paul George both missed the game in Mexico, which Oklahoma City lost by five points.

On his search for new holistic training regimens

"Definitely not against anything. Everyone is coming up with something new it seems like these days. But something I’m going to really focus on is just stretching. Stretching, I’ve found that to be a big help with just how I felt after playing and working out throughout the year. Maybe I can find someone that’s a guru in stretching."

Singler recently turned 30, making him a true millennial. Singler’s holistic views are as millennial as they come he enjoys a gluten-free diet, during media day he discussed his meditation regimen and now he’s on the search for a stretching guru.

Once media day rolls around in September this scribe is definitely looking forward to hearing if the search was successful. That is, if Singler is still a member of the team.
