Highs from Carmelo Anthony’s 2017-18 season

This season marked the return of Carmelo Anthony to the postseason – his first trip back in four years. For a Hall of Fame hopeful like Anthony, it had to be nice to be back again, even if only for one round.

In the first game of the NBA Playoffs this year, the OKC Thunder toppled the Utah Jazz at home. Carmelo contributed on both ends of the floor, finishing with a 15/7/2 line with three steals and two big blocks. The playoff fun did not last, but this had to be a nice return for Anthony.

Likely his best game of the season came in one of the Thunder’s most memorable wins – the 148-124 beatdown of the Cleveland Cavaliers back in January.

One of his six double-doubles of the season, Melo dropped a season high 29 points to go with 10 boards against LeBron James and Isaiah Thomas. He was effective in catch-and-shoot situations and let the game come to him in one of OKC’s most fluid offensive games.
