Skills:

Svi Mykhailiuk’s biggest skill and selling point to NBA franchises is his ability to stroke the 3-ball. He can knock down NBA ranged 3-point shots with ease. Svi Mykhailiuk might be the best catch-and-shoot 3-point shooter in the NBA Draft. Svi Mykhailiuk has mastered “filling the lane” during fast breaks. Instead of clogging up the lane on fast breaks, Svi will pop out for a wide open corner trey.

Svi is also very well conditioned, and has a high basketball IQ. He has spent time on the Ukraine national team, and of course played basketball at the University of Kansas two very high stages.

While he himself is a great 3-point shooter, Svi is not afraid to make the extra pass. While Svi Mykhailiuk is not going to be on highlight shows for crossing anyone up, he does have enough ball handling ability to get the job done.

Weaknesses:

Svi Mykhailiuk’s wingspan is at a negative when compared to his height, and he lacks foot speed. That puts him as a shooting guard who can not keep up with NBA level combo guards. Defensively, he will struggle to find a match up that will be favorable–or manageable–at the next level. Svi also lacks the ability to create for himself.

While he is a great catch-and-shoot option, running the baseline, taking screens, and getting open without the ball, he struggles in isolation. Svi Mykhailiuk just does not have anymore upside. He is what he is at this point, and that is going to be a legit sharp-shooting sixth man.
