Isaac Bonga is a wing from Germany who enters the 2018 NBA Draft as a second round prospect.

At the ripe age of 18, Isaac Bonga still has a ton of room to grow. Isaac Bonga played in 48 professional games in Germany. He ran as the teams point guard overseas, but his game translates more to a point-forward in the NBA. While the upside is there for Isaac Bonga, like most second round prospects he will need to spend some time in the G-league.

Player specifics:

Statline:

All Stats per game

6-points, 3-rebounds, 2-assists, 1-steal.

Skills:

Isaac Bonga is a great ball hander, especially for his size. He has the ability to play have good perimeter defense. Isaac Bonga nails free throws at a crazy rate. Lastly, Bonga is very good around the rim offensively.

Weaknesses:

More from Thunderous Intentions

When on defense, Bonga can easily be picked out of a play. Isaac Bonga does a terrible job of limiting turnovers. He also needs to get stronger, and he gets beat up driving down the lane.

Pro comparison:

Isaac Bonga is projected to be Kyle Anderson, or maybe Nicholas Batum. However, I think his upside, and ceiling could be higher. At just 18 years old, with consistent minutes in the G-league, and time to develop Bonga could be a very good role player in the NBA.

Fit with OKC Thunder:

Isaac Bonga could be a very nice fit for the Oklahoma City Thunder. He almost certainly will be on the board for the teams 53rd pick, and could even slide down to the organization’s 57th pick. The organization is in a position to allow Isaac Bonga to spend his days with the OKC Blue and refine his skill sets in the G-League.

With no pressure to perform right away, and an ample amount of time at the G-League, the OKC Thunder could be the perfect fit for Isaac Bonga.
