This is about as perfect a fit for both the prospect and the team as it can get. Forgetting the twitter fiasco for a second – the 76ers entered the draft arguably with the most shine on their offseason potential for success. Regardless of what free agents they may draw or lose Bridges works here.

Full prospect preview: A Bridge to success

Team needs:

Much will depend on whether the 76ers brain trust believes they can successfully lure one of Kawhi Leonard, LeBron James, or Paul George to Philly.  The 76ers are one of the few teams (Boston) who are competitive while also having salary flexibility to add star contracts. That said, they enter the draft with reportedly their coach making the draft decision on five picks which is somewhat unusual given Brett Brown has never held a front-office position.

Like many teams, the direction the 76ers take will be done somewhat blindly without knowing if these top-notch free agents will be open to signing with them. Moreover, the pursuit of these stars, if unsuccessful, could also make retaining their existing free agents problematic (and/or expensive).

As it is the 76ers are stellar at the point and center. Their greatest concern will be wings, particularly if they lose all the free agents or need to ship out some players in order to obtain a top star.
