Sam Presti talked about the huge offseason ahead for the OKC Thunder.
The OKC Thunder finished the 2017-18 campaign in disappointing fashion. Once the NBA Draft started, and the Suns were put on the clock it was time to put all of that in the rearview mirror.
During said NBA Draft, the Thunder did not have a lot to work it. Still, Sam Presti made the most of it. After the last name was called, and the draft too fell into the rear view mirror the Thunder GM talked with the Media.
Sam Presti hit on all of the big topics that OKC fans have pondered in the period between the end of the post season run, and the start of the offseason. Everything from Terrence Ferguson, to Paul George, and even Carmelo Anthony.
What he said:
After the draft, most GM’s usually talk to the media. So in a series of tweets from Thunder beat writers here is his message.

What it means:
The biggest news, was the fact Sam Presti confirmed Carmelo Anthony will not play another game for the Thunder. While many speculated as such, now it is official.
The organization is looking to help Carmelo Anthony find ways out of his contract. They are clinging to some hope that Anthony will opt out. It eventually will end in a buy-out one would imagine.
Notably Sam Presti mentioned the Thunder have continued a line of communication with free agent to be Paul George.
Terrance Ferguson being praised is great news for the OKC Thunder. The organization did not have a first round pick in the 2018 draft, and have had a rough history as of late.
Terrance Ferguson’s development is huge for the future. Thunder fans will keep a close eye on the recently turned 20 year old during the Summer league.
