For a team with a with an established core and a small budget, Joe Harris seems like a perfect target for the OKC Thunder this NBA free agency period.

From the days of DaeQuan Cook to Kevin Martin, Caron Butler and most recently Anthony Morrow, the Thunder have historically enjoyed having a shooting specialist on hand.

Since the departure of Kevin Durant, however, finding the next sniper has been low on Sam Presti’s priority list. But now with plenty of talent back on board, Presti is rumored to be in the market for Harris.

The Specifics:

  • Height: 6’6
  • Position: Shooting Guard/Small Forward
  • Age: 26
  • Years of experience: 4-years
  • Type of free agent: Unrestricted
  • Hometown: Washington
  • College: Virginia
  • Previous salary: $1.52 million

Harris didn’t have much of a role his first two years in the league, but really came into his own after signing with Brooklyn in 2016. While the Nets have been bottom feeders of the NBA, they finished 14th in the league in scoring. And Harris’ shooting ability had a lot to do with that.
