Free Agency – Offseason Mandate:

Brown was upgraded to a full roster player leaving just Miller on the 2-way contract. The Raptors are another squad locked into big salaries and enter NBA Free Agency needing to nail down Fred VanVleet. Barring some silly contract options, they’ll be able to match any offer and are likely to do so given how important VanVleet is to their reserve unit and clutch time.

With Nick Nurse now in charge the expectations are for Jonas Valanciunas to take on a bigger role. That means there may be the potential for trades in order to offer the Raptors some flexibility. Watch for Serge Ibaka and Norm Powell to be shopped as ways to get there.
