With most high-profile free agents up for grabs, Gerald Green remains a sleeper. Due to his age and his limited role with the Rockets, he could fly under the radar.

Everything this off season obviously hinges on Paul George’s decision. So until we know one way or the other, it’s hard to tell what exactly will happen. Regardless of what he does, the Thunder have a very limited budget.
As it stands, the Thunder owe $116.83 million without George on the books and at least five roster spots to fill.
Green would be a great option to have off the bench, but it will all depend on how much his stock has risen. On one hand, he will be 33 years old and isn’t getting any younger.
On the other, he’s proven to still have what it takes to play. Both of these factors will likely mean he signs for a veteran minimum or close to. It’s a decent pay raise for him and wouldn’t be a big commitment for his next team.
And his next team very well may be his current one. Especially now with the Rockets almost certainly out of the LeBron James lottery, they might decide to run it back with much of the same group. However, Houston has half its roster to fill, so it’s likely they will have a few new faces next season.
