CAIRNS, AUSTRALIA – OCTOBER 27: Michael Carrera of the Taipans warms up before the start of the round four NBL match between the Cairns Taipans and the Adelaide 36ers at Cairns Convention Centre on October 27, 2017 in Cairns, Australia. (Photo by Ian Hitchcock/Getty Images) /

#42 Michael Carrera, Forward

Carrera is another OKC Blue product trying to impress the Thunder in July. With the Blue in 2017-18 Carrera scored 7-points while bringing down 4-rebounds per game in 18-minutes. Like a few others on this list, Carrera also averaged over a steal a game (1.4)

At 25 years old his window to make the NBA is closing. A once South Carolina Gamecock is still trying to make his NBA debut.

Carrera is a native of Venezuela. At 6’5″ he may be a tad undersized for a forward, but how he handles covering more than one defensive assignment could well determine his future.
