Strong second quarter paves way for OKC Thunder to earn a win over the Nets at NBA Summer League.

The OKC Thunder outscored the Brooklyn Nets 30-13 in the second quarter en route to their first NBA Summer League win in 2018.

76. 147. 90. 149. Final

No one will confuse the OKC Thunder summer league squad for a summer league championship level team. That honor is saved for your Suns, Kings, Mavericks, and the like. However, this game displayed how well ran the Thunder are compared to the Brooklyn Nets.

The talent within the organization, even with a roster mostly composed of NBA has-been’s and G-League players, was enough to dominate the Brooklyn Nets. The Thunder simply bullied their way to their first NBA Summer League win.

The fight for rebounds was not really a fight. The OKC Thunder hauled down 57-rebounds, compared to the Nets 38-rebounds. The Thunder once led the game by 30-points, thanks to a 15-0 run. Both teams struggled securing the ball, which OKC had trouble with yesterday as well.

The OKC Thunder got physical, just imposing their well in a literal manner on a weak Nets team, with little resistance.
