Day four of the Vegas NBA Summer League offers the third match for the OKC Thunder as they face winless Toronto Raptors.

Another 10 games today in Vegas as the teams the OKC Thunder and 19 other teams will determine their seeding for the next round.

Today’s opponent is the Eastern Conference Toronto Raptors who arrive without a win following losses to the Pelicans and Timberwolves.

This isn’t that surprising with the mish mash of players on the roster. By no means are the Raptors expected to do much at the tournament and this is probably the easiest first round opponent in lieu of the personnel. That said the Raptors are a decent defensive squad.

As for the OKC Thunder they followed up the win over the Nets by inking Deonte Burton to a two-way contract.

What and who to watch:

Trio of standouts:

For those curious why many at TI were hoping Daniel Hamilton would capture a spot on the roster as the third point guard his performances demonstrate why. He’s come close to

Through two games Hamilton has sniffed at triple-doubles in each. Against the Hornets he came up two assists short. On Saturday versus the Nets he came up one rebound and three assists short. To state the obvious — the varsity squad are so desperate for playmakers and dime dishers it’s hard to imagine Hamilton doesn’t get a long hard look.

Rashawn Thomas has done nothing short of putting up quality, professional performances. His defense, aggression and ability to score when called upon is consistent and reliable. Still, with the likes of Roberson, Grant and Noel securely on the squad it appears like Thomas will miss the cut mostly due to timing and circumstance.

Of the rookies Hamidou Diallo has been the best – by far. Facing the Nets there were moments in which it was hard to believe so many teams passed on him so deep into the draft.
