SACRAMENTO, CA – FEBRUARY 22: Bogdan Bogdanovic /

Bogdan Bogdanovic

There are a few guys in the NBA who, no matter how ridiculous or how bad a shot might look, you think that it’s going in. Bogdan Bogdanovic is one of those guys. The 6’6″ Serbian is one of the more versatile scorers in the league, able to pull up from just about anywhere on the court, score at all three levels, and make just enough ridiculous shots around the rim to keep defenses honest.

Sure, he only scored 11.8 points per game last year, but he was such an efficient scorer and performed so well as a pseudo-primary scorer that he could realistically be an elite sixth man. He could fortify OKC’s bench and finally at least start to close the chasm between the starting five and everyone else that’s existed in Oklahoma since the Seattle days.

How many other players on the Thunder’s bench can do things like this against one of the best defenders in the league?

The best part is, he should be relatively cheap. Aside from the woeful mismanagement that has plagued the Kings since the late 2000’s, Bogdanovic doesn’t look to fit into their long-term plans. As it looks right now, the Kings are building around a core of De’Aaron Fox, Marvin Bagley IIII, and Buddy Hield, plus Bogdanovic’s age (25) makes him a movable piece on a rebuilding team.

Bogdanovic isn’t the missing link on this roster, but he’s closer to that than you think.
