Player Grades

OKC Starting Rotation:

D+. . PG. Oklahoma City Thunder. DANIEL HAMILTON

Hamilton showed again his strong ability to finish at the rim. The way he draws contact and finishes through it is amazing. However, today he was bad.

Hamilton turned the ball over 5-times, shot 28-percent from the field, and was beat a few times defensively. After solid showings in the first two summer thunder contests, Hamilton took a huge step back.

TERRANCE FERGUSON. C. . SG. Oklahoma City Thunder

Terrance Ferguson looked mediocre at best, which is better than his previous two outings. He went 2-for-5 from three, and 3-for-9 from the field, which earned him 8-points. He looked lost a few times both offensively and defensively which for a guy that an organization hopes can fill valuable minutes this upcoming season, just can not happen. Like last game, despite the fact it was a bad game, Ferguson did have one highlight. The highlight came when Raptors O.G. Anunoby attacked the rim and got stuffed by the springing Ferguson. That resulted in a shoving match between O.G. and Dakari Johnson.

Ferguson still have not turned the page physically, or in a basketball IQ sense. That is a tough pill to swallow especially against lower-level competition this summer than he would see in October.

A+. . G. Oklahoma City Thunder. P.J. DOZIER

The point guard from the University of South Carolina put on a show this afternoon in Vegas. Dozier dominated the first half, and was in total control. He created for others, inbounded the ball well, having an impact defensively, and flat-out getting buckets. Dozier spent last year on a two-way deal with OKC, but hopes to earn the right to be on the everyday roster for the Thunder.

In today’s game, Dozier shot 2-2 from 3-point land, and turned in a 63-percent effort from the field. He poured in 17-points, and grabbed 6-rebounds.

Dozier has the size, and ability to play in the NBA, and guard multiple positions. He is going to make it tough for Sam Presti and Billy Donovan to leave him with the Blue full-time.

F. Oklahoma City Thunder. RASHAWN THOMAS. A-.

The Oklahoma City kid playing for his hometown team looks to just want it more. Watching the games, it is clear to see Thomas plays with a chip on his shoulder, even in the Summer League. The overlooked forward through out his whole career, fought for everything tonight. That has been Thomas’ trend this summer.

On the glass, RaShawn Thomas will keep battling until he comes up with a rebound. If the opposition comes down with it, that will not stop Thomas, as he has an ability to poke the ball free after it looks like the other team secured position.

Thomas filled out the stat-sheet with yet another double-double. 17-points, to go along with his 12-rebounds.

A-. . C. Oklahoma City Thunder. DAKARI JOHNSON

This was a relatively quite game for Dakari Johnson. He produced 10-points, 2-rebounds, but his impact was something that was not on the stat-sheet. The veteran big man looked quicker. Finally, he seemed to get to his spots quicker, he made his rotations quicker which resulted in him swatting a trio of shots today.
