NBA Free Agency is time to tweak rosters and with rumors Milos Teodosic could be waived by LA Sam Presti needs to jump right on this opportunity.

Entering the new NBA season, OKC Thunder coach Billy Donovan vows to play with pace. In order for Oklahoma City to maximize opportunities, the Thunder must reduce its turnovers. Acquiring a reliable, pass-first point guard should be top of OKC’s NBA Free Agency wish list.

The OKC Thunder enter the 2018-19 season with the intention to play fast. This was the message conveyed by Thunder coach Billy Donovan when speaking with Thunderbeat writer Brett Dawson of the Oklahoman.

With Carmelo Anthony on his way out, the Thunder can no longer blame the former All Star for the lack of tempo. Donovan must incorporate a high octane offense that emphasizes space, pace and athleticism.

The biggest question is can Russell Westbrook and Paul George escape the clutches of isolation basketball? Russ and PG’s affinity for iso-ball is so strong that its hard to believe either one can change. However in order for OKC to reach its ceiling, Westbrook and George must overcome bad habits and buy into a team system.

A way of accelerating the process is to acquire a reliable, pass-first guard to handle the ball. Despite averaging 10.1 assists, Russ averaged a whopping 4.8 turnovers per game last season. From highlight reels to giving away steals, the Brodie’s propensity to throw head-scratching passes is undeniable.

One player Oklahoma City must look at is Serbian Milos Teodosic.
