Shooting Ability:

Teodosic surprised many with his ability to finish at the rim and knock down perimeter jumpers. The Serbian shot 65 percent at the rim, 45 percent from the mid-range and a surprising 38 percent from deep. On catch and shoot threes, the Serbian was a lethal 43.5 percent.

Oklahoma City struggled mightily from deep last season, converting on just 35.5 percent of their attempts (23rd). Even though Paul George, Carmelo Anthony and Alex Abrines converted at 40.1, 35.7 and 38 percent respectively, others on the roster struggled to graze the rim. Patrick Patterson was actually the Thunder’s third best shooter from deep (38.7) but received attempts few and far between (just 2.1 attempts per game).

Teodosic’ best shooting performance came in the Clippers 109-100 win against the Memphis Grizzlies. He finished with 18 points, going 7-15 from the field and 3-8 from three in 28 minutes.

Because of Teodosic’ ability to hit open shots, teams need to account for him when he’s on court. This will allow Russ and PG to operate in open space. With those two commanding so much attention, he will receive oodles of space to let jumpers fly.
