The answer:
More from Thunder News
- Stealing one player from every Southwest Division team for the OKC Thunder
- Should the OKC Thunder chase after a disgruntled hometown hero?
- 3 OKC Thunder players who can step up in Aleksej Pokusevski’s absence
- Aleksej Pokusevski sidelined approximately 6 weeks with ankle injury
- Damian Lillard does not fit with the OKC Thunder
So would he actually leave? I doubt it? Should he accept the job? That all depends on what he thinks the future of the Thunder can be. Yes, the core is locked up, but they won’t be able to do much else in terms of adding talent.
Philly on the other hand, should only continue to get better. What makes this even tougher is that this may very well be a once in a lifetime opportunity. Presti may never get the opportunity to lead a team with so much upside and longevity.
The good news for Presti is he is still only 41 years old. Meaning he could be doing this for another 30 plus years. As long as he doesn’t have any royal mess-ups, he should get his fair share of opportunities to construct and manage title-contending teams.
The 2018-19 season should be a nice start.
