The OKC Thunder 30 for 30 travels to Motor City to breakdown two-way wing Reggie Bullock.

One of the underrated features of the OKC Thunder franchise is its ability to mesh various personalities together to create a winners mentality. Perhaps the most interesting personalities in today’s game along with his impressive play on-court is Detroit Pistons wing Reggie Bullock.

After being selected with the 25th pick in the 2014 NBA draft, Bullock’s career has been marred by injury causing him to play for four franchises in five seasons. Last year was the first time Bullock played more than half the season, suiting up 62 times for the Pistons. His 11.3 points,2.5 rebounds, two assists on 53.6 percent shooting and 45.5 percent from three shows Bullock can ball provided he is healthy.

Detroit is in a precarious situation regarding its wing rotation. Lottery pick Stanley Johnson is in a contract year, looking to get paid next year in a loaded free agency market while Glen Robinson III arrives to prove his worth following years of injuries. The Pistons also have a deep affection for Luke Kennard and Reggie Jackson is set to assume the floor general role after missing most of last season. This leaves Langston Galloway, Ish Smith, Jose Calderon and Bullock all competing for minutes. Detroit picked up his player option indicating he might be available on the trade market.

Besides his play on-court, Bullocks off-court story is much more impressive. After dealing with the murder of his transgender brother turned sister in 2014, the 27-year old’s work in the LBGT community is outstanding. Oklahoma City is a family-oriented community making his fit in the Midwest a no-brainer. His maturity, demeanour and relaxed attitude appears to be a natural fit in OKC.

Lets take a deeper look at what Bullock brings should OKC pursue him.
