OKC Thunder: Top 10 Westbrook and George signature shoes of 2018
No. 4 Mamba Mentality:
Even though Thunder fans may not like these shoes out of principle, it’s hard to not to drool over the PG 2 “Mamba Mentality” colorway.
First and foremost, the shoe’s design pays tribute to the Kobe 6 “Prelude” by drenching the shoes in Lakers’ purple with art illustrations around the heel. However, Paul George got his own personal touch to the shoes by adding a fish and a chess piece to the art, hinting towards his hobbies.
The Mamba Mentality version of the PG 2’s were released on Kobe Day (April 13th) and sell for $110. Nike maybe jumped the gun with this release thinking George would sign with the Lakers, but Thunder fans had the last laugh. Even still, these shoes need to be given proper respect.
No. 3 Class of 2006:
In typical Russell Westbrook fashion, the “Class of 2006” colorway of the Jordan 10’s tells a story of his past. A more fun take of his high school days, the red, white and blue shoes match his old Olympians uniforms.
The shoes feature a white base with red and blue outlining the black tongue. On the inside at the left shoe is written “Class of 2006” while Westbrook’s logo is written in the right. At the bottom of the shoe are blue and white lines meeting in the middle of a black base to match the tongue.
The Class of 2006 version of the Jordan 10’s released in early March and go for $190.
