Examining the OKC Thunder 2018-19 schedule offers three key factors which could pay dividends to the bottom line.

Every season as the OKC Thunder and their counterparts get their season schedule undoubtedly coaching staffs and trainers pour over it to isolate benefits and disadvantages.

In truth sometimes it comes down to a matter of sheer luck. Not having to play a top team the maximum number of times or having extended road trips for example. In spite of this, it’s still a component of mapping out the season’s plans.

The following three factors offer specific areas Billy Donovan along with his coaching and training staff should pay extra attention to. Despite the luck factor, it’s still important to recognize segments of the schedule where tweaks need to made. Specifically the one area of focus will be how Billy Donovan utilizes his roster.

In the past Donovan hasn’t necessarily shown a propensity to work outside the box tending to stick with his core and run them into the ground. However, with a retooled roster with presumably more depth it sure seems like the perfect time to engage more of his assets.

Here’s a few helpful hints on segments in the schedule where Donovan could earmark to employ more of his charges.
