5 key factors in OKC Thunder schedule which could affect the win column
Longest home stand and road trips:
Some years extended road trips can drag on and effect players in a multitude of ways. The most obvious is staying healthy physically. But, getting mental rest is equally important which is more difficult to do on the road.
It may seem logical that long extended road trips would pay huge dividends, but being at home too long can also have a negative impact. Although the Peake offers an enthusiastic sixth man effect, the natural instinct of home town teams is to feel, well more at home. It’s great to build upon that benefit. But when those opportunities are limited to four or five games it’s also easier to center in on taking advantage of every contest.
