The OKC Thunder handed out their final two-way contract on Monday to center  Tyler Davis from Texas A & M.

After signing Deonte Burton to a two-way pact the OKC Thunder were left with one final two-way contract to give away. Some speculated it would be given to Daniel Hamilton before he earned a fully guaranteed deal from the Atlanta Hawks. Another sign pointed to P.J. Dozier. Rumors had it he would be back on a two-way deal after serving that same role a year ago for the Thunder.

Ultimately Dozier ended up on a two-way pact with the Celtics. So clearly after striking out twice, fans just came to the conclusion one of the trio of rookies would get the second two way deal. Well, Hamidou Diallo earned himself a full-time spot with the varsity squad, Devon Hall signed in Australia, and no one even knows what Kevin Hervey is doing.

Tyler Davis nabs final OKC Thunder two-way contract:

After much speculation, it finally happened. Out of the blue it was reported the OKC Thunder will sign Tyler Davis to a two-way deal. Davis is a center who spent his time in college at the University of Texas A&M.

Tyler Davis spent this last summer league with the Nets after going undrafted. In the Summer League Davis averaged 10-points to go along with his 4-rebounds per contest. With the Aggies, Davis at 6’10, 265-pounds he posted 14-points per game in his college career, with 8-rebounds to pair with said points.

For a big man, Davis is a solid ball handler. He helped led the Aggies to a 22-13 record a season ago and an NCAA Tournament Bid.

With the Oklahoma City Thunder Davis will wear the number 34.

I would not expect Davis to see much time in Chesapeake Energy Arena, if you want to check out Davis you will have to do so with the OKC Blue.

Davis will be fighting with Steven Adams, Nerlens Noel, Jerami Grant, and Patrick Patterson. If everyone remains healthy there will not be enough minutes to go around for Tyler Davis.
