The OKC Thunder over-under lines were released from Vegas, setting Oklahoma City’s total wins at 50.5 while Kevin Pelton’s RPM projections set OKC’s win total at 47.5.
The OKC Thunder joined the controversial over/under discussion with many teams upset at both the Las Vegas lines and Kevin Pelton’s RPM projections. Vegas sets Oklahoma City’s win-loss total at 50.5 while KP’s model sets OKC’s projected win total at 47.5.
Despite a weird season, Oklahoma City still managed 48 wins amidst chemistry issues between Russell Westbrook, Paul George and Carmelo Anthony. Melo’s inability to play a role brought heat to the Thunder’s locker room and OKC ultimately under-performed, never reaching the heights many pundits predicted they would.
Westgate lines from Vegas and Pelton’s projections tell two different stories. Vegas expect Oklahoma City to improve while KP predicts the Thunder to be the same or slightly worse despite trading Anthony and acquiring a number of young assets.

Here are the totals for each team in the league. Surprisingly, there have been no changes to the lines since they opened over a week ago.
Gambling odds are based upon a panel of professional bookies surmising totals based on opinion. Once they agree to set a line at what seems right, they release the odds and alter them according to the influx of money. Vegas is remarkably accurate considering the rudimentary process with punters ultimately dictating how the lines change.
