OKC Thunder players are making news off the court as two players get engaged and two are expecting children.

AS the OKC Thunder continue to shore up their squad in preparation for the upcoming 2018-19 season many of the squad are making news off the court.

Front and center is Terrance Ferguson who took to social media to share his good news. Turns out TFerg asked his girlfriend  to get married.

The happy couple didn’t give many details but clearly Ferguson is over the moon about his impending nuptials. The tweet from TFerg shared the couples joy and also seemed to follow Nina Westbrook’s example of using social media to announce her pregnancy..

As per the Westbrook’s, wife Nina’s instagram notes they are expecting their second child who’ll join big brother Noah upon arrival. Russ clearly loves being a father so let’s cross our fingers for a little girl to join Noah.

The OKC Thunder have taken to social media en masse to celebrate their personal lives and this marks the third big OKC Thunder announcement.

Dennis Schoder also announces engagement:

New OKC Thunder point guard Dennis Schroder joined teammates with his own engagement announcement on instagram.

The odd part of this engagement announcement is Schroder seemingly implied the happy couple are enduring some conflict (re: “it doesn’t matter what people are trying to say it’s not going to bring us apart“)

Schroder’s fiancee Ellen Nana posted a few more instagram pictures from the day of the engagement. Sure looks like Schroder has some smooth moves off the court as well based on Nana’s pictures.

The first shows the couple in presumably the plane shown in Dennis’ picture.

The second picture shows off Nana’s ring and the table set up with roses and champagne.

And the third shows Nana and Schroder engaged in an embrace:

While this picture has absolutely nothing to do with the engagement, I mean come on look how cute this dog is!

One thing all this offcourt happiness can provide for the team is when players are happy it can’t help but affect the product on the court. The team overall is relatively young, but several players are married and have children.

So there’s the three big player announcements of engagements and babies on the way. Other than the rookies the one player I’d love to see become a father is Steven Adams who comes from a family with 17 siblings.

Maybe that’s just a personal wish since I could imagine Adams being an incredible father. Can’t you picture his little one running around in one of those winter hats Adams is so found of wearing?
