Basketball (and knee injuries) are all in the family for Andre Roberson.

In January of 2018, Oklahoma City Thunder shooting guard Andre Roberson ended his season prematurely with a ruptured patellar tendon. Thankfully for Roberson, he didn’t have to call his parents in San Antonio and ask them to come to town for his surgery. As it turns out, they were already in Oklahoma City helping Roberson’s younger brother heal from am eerily similar injury.

A student and basketball player at the University of Central Oklahoma, Andre’s brother, Anthony Roberson, suffered a meniscus injury. The older Roberson told the Norman Transcript:

"“The funny thing is, I was joking with him about it. Like, ‘Yo! You hurt!’ And then boom, two days later, it happened to me…So, we kind of laughed about that in our own way. But it was kind of crazy for our family, kind of a whirlwind.”"

Much to the joy of OKC Thunder fans, Andre Roberson is expected to start in the 2018-’19 season.
