Small market, big following.

According to Nielsen, the OKC Thunder market size ranks 28 out of 30 teams. The Thunder’s market makes up .629 percent of the population of Americans with TVs in their homes. While that is in on the low end of market size, Oklahoma City isn’t small. In fact, the city consists of more than 638,000 people. And, Thunder games continually sell out each night.

Of course the OKC Thunder proves the adage big things come in little packages when it comes to TV since Russell Westbrook, Paul George, Steven Adams and company are a big draw. In fact the squad will air on National television 36 times this season.

Only the Lakers (43), Warriors (40), Celtics (39), 76ers (39) and Rockets (39) will be featured more frequently than the OKC Thunder.

Specifically, the Thunder will play 11 times on TNT (Turner Broadcasting and where Inside the NBA airs. A further 10 times on ESPN, nine times on NBA TV and six times on ABC.
