Westbrook met his wife in college.

When Russell Westbrook proposed to his longtime girlfriend Nina Earl, he reportedly did so with a $10,000 engagement ring. The two met at UCLA, where Earl was also a basketball player. Now, they’re the proud parents of son, Noah, and have another baby on the way.

In his 2017 NBA MVP speech, Westbrook told his wife:

"“You make me go. You hold me down. You keep me in check, through good and through bad. You make sure that I’m on the right track, and I’m so so appreciative of you because you sacrificed so so much for me … You’ve blessed me with a beautiful son that I’m so thankful for.”"

Family is obviously important to Westbrook. A glance at his social media feeds proves the close relationship he has with his brother, Ray, and their parents. For example, take a look at the line of shoes Russell dedicated to his little brother:
