Paul George loves fishing.

He’d barely been added to the roster by the time Paul George invited his new team to join a celebrity fishing tournament in 2017. Head Coach Billy Donovan brought along fellow fishing fan Josh Huestis and assistant coach Adrian Griffin to California for the tournament, where they were later joined by Russell Westbrook, Sam Presti, and a group of assistant coaches and staff members.

George told OKC Thunder staff writer Nick Gallo:

"“It was great to have teammates show up and have them be a part of this…I’m looking forward to going down the road and getting to learn more from my teammates.”"

A year later, George announced the date for his second annual tournament—with a picture of pal Westbrook on the flyer.
