OKC Thunder Trivia: uncovering 50 fun, surprising and random facts
Jerami Grant shares basketball genes.
For Jerami Grant, basketball is a family affair. The 24-year-old Syracuse alumn is the son of Harvey and Beverly Grant. Harvey played basketball at Clemson and Oklahoma, and was drafted as the 12th overall pick in the 1988 NBA Draft. He went on to have an 11-year career in the NBA, playing with Washington, Portland, and Philadelphia, before retiring in 1999.
Additionally, Grantâs uncle Horace â who happens to be a twin of his father, Harvey â also played college basketball at Clemson. Horace was a four-time NBA champion during his time with Los Angeles and Chicago.
And as if that wasnât enough, two of Jerami Grantâs three brothers (Jerai and Jerian) are also professional basketball players. Jerai Grant kept the tradition alive by playing his college years at Clemson before going undrafted in the 2011 NBA Draft and ultimately signing with the Sydney Kings NBL team. Currently, he plays with Neptunas Klaipeda of the Lithuanian Basketball League.
Jerian Grant played university ball for Notre Dame before getting selected by the Washington Wizards as the 19th pick in the 2015 NBA Draft. Currently, he is a member of the Orlando Magic.
