It’s been awhile since we’ve seen James Harden dunk on someone this hard. Obviously Harden’s transformation from super sixth-man to reigning MVP has been incredible, but part of me misses the iteration of The Beard that regularly made spectacular plays like this one.
There was a freedom to his game back then–a spontaneity. It was akin to watching Spider-Man begin to discover his powers and learn how to use them, yet fully without the restrictions he had placed on himself after. He was just a young shooting guard, hoping to find his way.
