No. 29: Abrines on Bell

Abrines is one of those players from whom a poster like this one is always surprising. The Spaniard is basically only in the league because he can shoot jumpers well. He can do some other things adequately sure, but almost the entirety of his functionality offensively comes down to his ability to stroke J’s from the perimeter.

So watching him drive to the rim and finish like this is a little jarring. He’s not supposed to be able to get to the rim so effortlessly. He’s not supposed to be able to dunk on a supreme athlete like Jordan Bell. He’s not supposed to venture to the rim like this. So the fact that he did all of that versus the best defense of the last five years is flat-out bewildering.
