No. 24: Dion Waiters on the Nuggets

This dunk could have ended far worse than it did and it’s kind of a miracle Waiters didn’t get hurt. He basically had no control at any point leading up to it and during the dunk itself, and he was too crowded by Nuggets players to try to hang on the rim and control his momentum before he went to the ground. The fact he pulled it off and walked away on his own legs is crazy.

It’s also crazy how well he pulled this off. As I mentioned, he had no room to load up or create space on the jump on the dunk yet still was able to jump over two Nuggets and forcefully slam a dunk home. Waiters never quite lived up to his number four draft slot, but moments like this show how what he could have been.
