No. 22: KD on Asik
Even though Omer Asik isn’t really an athletic rim protector, the amount of elevation KD had to ascend to in order to make this play is incredible. You can’t really tell from this angle of the dunk, but to do what he wanted to do Durant had to essentially bring his hand and the ball up to a mere few inches below the absolute top of the backboard before hammering it home on NBA dinosaur, Omer Asik.
Durant is an admittedly boring dunker, and doesn’t do much of anything outside of basic slams, but something about the sheer physicality and athleticism of those dunks, makes them absolutely mind-boggling.
