No. 5: KD on JaVale
JaVale McGee has had a lot of embarrassing plays over his career, but this one might be the most, especially because this was at the very peak of his athletic prime. Because given JaVale’s mind-bending measurements and tools, he probably should have been able to at least put up more of a fight. Though it’s not entirely his fault.
After watching this roughly 5,000 times, I’ve determined that KD would have gotten this off even if an athletic giraffe–this is probably a thing–was standing in front of the rim. He had a full head of steam and an open runway; a recipe for a spectacular dunk.
