Earlier this month on Aug. 10, the 2018-2019 NBA season schedule was released, giving us a glimpse into the newest season. This season has been especially hard to wait for, considering the many changes that were made during the summer in regards to which teams players associated themselves with. For every fan, this upcoming season is sure to grab our attention in many ways.

In the Eastern Conference, the Cleveland Cavaliers were left crumbling after LeBron James‘ departure to Los Angeles, leaving the space for the Finals open for a new team. For contenders, the Boston Celtics look to be a promising force, as we will be seeing the return of Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward. Accompanied by the Philadelphia 76ers and the Milwaukee Bucks, it will be interesting to see who comes out on top.

For the Western Conference, the already looming threat of the Golden State Warriors has increased its shadow, extending due to the acquisition of DeMarcus Cousins. Neighboring with the LeBron led Lakers, the West is beginning to look a lot more hostile than previous years.

For OKC Thunder fans, this year’s season looks daunting due to the previous points, but also promising as well. The Thunder managed to bring back Paul George, a gambit by general manager Sam Presti that clearly paid off. Accompanied by the disassociation with Carmelo Anthony, the welcoming of Dennis Schroder, the return of Andre Roberson and a promising rookie group to boot, we have much to look forward to.
