November 30: Atlanta Hawks at OKC

Last year the Atlanta Hawks and the Oklahoma City Thunder met twice, both resulting in Oklahoma City taking the win. While this may not be the most exciting match-up in terms of scoring, there are a few factors that contribute to the game being a worthwhile watch.

If you are from Oklahoma or follow many of their teams, you most likely have followed Trae Young, a rookie who previously played for the Oklahoma Sooners. While he will be playing for the Hawks, Young actually grew up being a Thunder fan. This detail will definitely spark the interest of any Oklahoma fan, and make the game an interesting addition to the season.

A key to this match will be it marks the first time Dennis Schroder will play his old squad since the trade. Although OKC’s visit to Atlanta on January 15 may present more of a heat check for the guard, expect Schroder to want to make a statement.

This, mixed with the fact that Jeremy Lin is an addition to their roster, it should add up to be an interesting game.

I don’t expect for the Thunder to lose against the Hawks this season, but with their updated roster you never really can tell. After losing the two game series last year, the Hawks will most likely come to the Chesapeake Arena looking to make a difference.
