October 19: OKC at LA Clippers

The LA Clippers are often disliked by many fans within the NBA, and Thunder fans are no exception.

Whether it be flops or debates on officiating, there has always been bad blood between the Clippers and the Thunder. While the Clippers may not be a big contender this year, games between the two teams are sure to be good due to the history that they have had.

A factor that could cool the tension between the two teams is the trade of Austin Rivers to the Washington Wizards in return for Marcin Gortat. Standing at 6’11, Gortat is sure to be an influential asset to the Clippers due to his intimidating appearance and size. After having a decreased amount of minutes played last year, Gortat will have a chance with the Clippers to establish himself again in a dominating role on the court.

Last year the Thunder took all three games against the Clippers, with each game averaging a difference of nine points on the scoreboard. It will no doubt be interesting to see if the Thunder can once again sweep the Clippers in their three-game series this season.
