October 28: Phoenix Suns at OKC

While the Phoenix Suns have been a low-ranking team for almost 10 years now, the OKC Thunder seem to have tough games against Phoenix.

Last year the two teams met three times, with the first being an embarrassing loss for OKC when they failed to gain the lead after slipping away in the first quarter. While the Thunder were able to take the next two games, the sting from the first defeat still remained.

Even though the Suns haven’t made a playoff run since the 2009-2010 season, it would be a mistake to think of them as an easy opponent. With the return of Devin Booker and the addition of first overall NBA draft pick Deandre Ayton, the Suns should not be overlooked this season.

Phoenix definitely won’t be a playoff contender, but the Suns could take down the Thunder in one or two games, just as they did last year. While we can only guess what the result would be now, we definitely should look forward to seeing how the series plays out.
