No. 4: 2017 F-5 City Edition jerseys

After reviewing a jersey lineup from years ago, let’s now delve into a more recent uniform: the F-5 jerseys.

The F-5 jerseys aren’t bad in my opinion. I appreciate the look they were going for, as they attempted to incorporate Oklahoma’s relationship with tornadoes into the fabric. It is an interesting idea, and the slashes of color along the sides are attention grabbers for sure.

What took others, and myself, off guard was how bland the design appeared at times. While many fans enjoyed it and expressed their admiration over the uniform upon it’s release, to me it felt as if more could have been done.

Although I was disappointed with the color scheme, it wasn’t a bad jersey by any means. It gave an intimidating look to the players and blended the idea of tornadoes into their uniforms. The Thunder are a powerful force in the NBA and I feel as if the juxtaposition between the team and twisters is an appropriate one.
