Welcome to the inaugural episode of Topic: Thunder – a podcast made just for you people. And by “you people,” I mean OKC Thunder fans.
Sam Presti did his darndest to make this offseason eventful, and boy did he ever. Still, even though the dead zone was lively, I think I can speak for all of us in saying that this season can’t get here fast enough.
The Thunder fan base has been rejuvenated by the signing of Paul George and the dumping of Carmelo Anthony for Dennis Schröder, but there’s only so much that we can glean from interviews, and only so much anticipation for real basketball that we can take.

The Thunder are famously silent in the media, but thankfully that silence is starting to break. It has to, for basketball reasons. Media day was last week. The annual Blue/White scrimmage was yesterday. Dennis Schröder is exciting. Steven Adams is awesome. Russell Westbrook will be fine, and Patrick Patterson is skinny.
Paul George is “a Thunder.”
The Thunder are in great shape, and I just honestly couldn’t be any more excited, and I just honestly can’t contain my excitement any longer. So, along with Dylan Huntzinger, Alex Roig, Matty Mullins, and Anthony Montero, it’s my pleasure to present the first Weekly Episode of our new OKC Thunder Podcast, Topic: Thunder.
We’ll be recording a Weekly Pod, updating you people on the week that just was and the week that will be, as well as rotating for nightly recaps of every single game of the season.
For Weekly Episode One, we cover tidbits from Media Day and Training Camp, Forecast the preseason schedule, and offer up our preseason hot takes. Please enjoy, and let us know what you think @OKCTopicThunder or hit us up in the comments section. Feedback is very valuable to us.
