OKC Thunder – Topic: Thunder podcast, preseason game 3, OKC ground the Hawks
The Topic: Thunder crew deliver their analysis and thoughts on the OKC Thunder preseason blowout win versus the Hawks and discuss the highlights.
Elbows kinda suck.
Early in the 1st quarter, Terrance Ferguson caught an elbow from Alex Len to the side of his head that immediately sent him to the floor. Even after he checked out, he sat on the floor visibly dazed in front of the Thunders bench with a towel over his head. It turns out that he was having concussion like symptoms and was held out for the remainder of the contest.
Checking in on for him was Timothé Luwawu Caborrot, but it wasn’t TLC that made the most of his minutes. It was the combined effort of Alex Abrines who had 10 points on 2-6 shooting, 4-4 from the stripe and Hamidou Diallo who amassed 13 points on 4-8 shooting, 5-6 from the stripe. Both took advantage of the hole to fill at SG, and both made their case for who should take the job should Ferguson have to miss time.

Steven Adams looked lackadaisical (am I even allowed to say that?) with 8 points, 9 rebounds, Paul George struggled early before he found his groove for 22 points on 5-16 shooting, to go along with 6 steals.
Dennis Schröder continued to turn heads in his “revenge game” with 20 points on an efficient 9-14 shooting. Completely outplaying former Oklahoma University standout Trae Young.
