Three days until opening night. — Where the OKC Thunder will be facing off against their sharp-shooting arch nemeses in Golden State, once again glaring down into the eyes of former beloved star-player-turned-reigning-league-villain (Kevin Durant). It’s a fabulous way to kick off the season, especially for this humble writer/fan who recently relocated to the Bay.
The most pressing issue looming in the heads of OKC Thunder fans is Russell Westbrook‘s status for this aforementioned game as he continues to heal from a knee injury. Westbrook is the biggest competitor on the team, and plays his best for these types of major games, even fighting through minor injuries before. Yup, Russ is still listed as questionable status, which is always concerning as the face of the franchise. But, it’s at least good news to know he is on schedule for a full recovery. Fingers crossed we get to see Russ play, but if he doesn’t, we also do know that the OKC Thunder’s roster is full of huge talent.
